Bonus Episode: Author Amanda Auler
Hello fellow nerds! This week's bonus episode is with author Amanda Auler, who was so fun to talk to! Hilarious and sweet, and she roasts her own coffee!
Background on Amanda: A mother by day and writer by spare moment, Amanda Auler is getting used to calling herself a Young Adult fantasy fiction author. At twenty-one she made a goal to be published by thirty and her debut novel, Daughter of the Sun, will launch precisely one year and two weeks before her thirtieth birthday.
Inspired by Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon Sanderson and Juliet Marillier (to name a few), Amanda writes stories that explore emotional growth and personal resilience. When she’s not at her laptop, Amanda can be found roasting coffee in her garage (usually with a book in hand), improving her ASL fluency and trying to keep up with her three growing boys. She and her husband live in central North Carolina where they stay up too late watching Top Chef and eating fancy ramen.
Listen in as we find out more about Amanda, her book "Daughter of the Sun", what she's currently reading, and her fave fandoms. And be sure to follow Amanda at @authoramandaauler

Background on Theresa: Theresa Kay writes stories that feature flawed characters, found family, and a bit of romance in science fiction, urban fantasy, and paranormal worlds. She's constantly lost in one fictional universe or another and is a self-proclaimed "fangirl" who loves being sucked into new books, movies, or TV shows. Living in the mountains of central Virginia with her husband and two kids, she spends her free time reading tons of books, binging anime and Doctor Who, and playing Tomb Raider and Assassin’s Creed.

Bonus Episode: Author Natalina Reis
Happy Saturday, nerds! This week's bonus episode is with author Natalina Reis, who believes in writing romance for the misfits, the outcasts, and the lovers unafraid to go against the grain.
Background on Natalina: Natalina wrote her first romance in collaboration with her best friend at the age of 13. Since then she has ventured into other genres, but romance is first and foremost in almost everything she writes.
She worked as a tourist guide in her native Portugal for a short time before moving to the United States. She lived in three continents and a few islands, and her knack for languages and linguistics led her to a master’s degree in education. Natalina weaves all these experiences into her stories, both contemporary and fantasy.
Romance fascinates Natalina because of its message of hope. Love is after all the one thing everyone, no matter who they are, needs and craves for, so what could be better than a story where the main characters get their happy ending?
Natalina doesn’t believe you can have too many books or too much coffee. Art and dance make her happy and she is pretty sure she could survive on lobster and bananas alone. When she is not writing or stressing over lesson plans, she shares her life with her husband and two adult sons.
Listen in as we find out more about Natalina, what she's currently reading, and her fave fandoms. And be sure to follow Natalina at @reisnatalina.

Hey Nerds! We sat down with author Elle Mitchell this week to talk about her new book, "Broken Reverie". Listen in to learn about Elle's amazing morally gray characters, what her favorite fandom is, and why it is so important to rate indie authors on Amazon. We also do a lighting round game called "Nerdy & Dirty" and chat more about Elle's new book that will be released this spring, titled "A Little Unstable".
Synopsis of "Broken Reverie":
From the outside, Evie Hale has the perfect life: a successful writing career, lots of friends, and the perfect fiancé.
She has what everyone else wants—the most that anyone could reasonably ask for—and yet, it isn’t enough, and she’s not quite sure why.
Evie manages to stuff it down, to quiet the part of her inside that’s screaming something is wrong until she runs into Adrian—a small and seemingly insignificant part of her past who evokes something in her she hasn’t felt in a long time.
With a wedding looming near and everyone’s eyes and expectations weighing heavily on her, what will she do?
Trigger Warning: Infidelity.
Author's Note: Broken Reverie is the second book in the Broken series and can be read as a standalone. If you would like to read Ruby's story first, pick up Broken People.
More About the Author:
Elle is an avid reader, daydreamer, and devourer of knowledge. When she isn’t existing inside her own head, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, hiking, and finding joy in the ordinary. She writes stories centered around flawed, morally gray characters. She is the author of Broken People, Broken Apart, and her most recent release, Broken Reverie.
